EOS Annual Meeting 2026
From Monday, 24 august 2026 to Friday, 28 august 2026
LATEST NEWS
The European Optical Society Annual Meeting, EOSAM, is a major international scientific conference and exhibition covering all aspects of optics and photonics.
The next EOSAM is organized in Tampere, Finland, 24-28 August 2026.
In 2026, we will celebrate 35 years since the creation of the EOS, and 20 years since establishing EOSAM as a platform for experts in the field of optics and photonics, bringing forth new research results, state of the art, and bridging the gap between research, education, and industry. EOSAM is attended annually by around 500 top researchers, key leaders, students, and industry experts.
EOSAM 2026 is organized by The European Optical Society, EOS, in close collaboration with Photonics Finland (EOS National Society Member), Tampere University, and PREIN Flagship.
Submissions will be welcomed for both oral and poster presentations. The event also features an industrial exhibition alongside a robust scientific and industrial program, offering valuable opportunities for collaboration between academia and industry.
At EOSAM, you can look forward to a dynamic and engaging week that includes:
- A Comprehensive Scientific and Industrial Program featuring the latest research and technological developments in optics and photonics.
- Tutorials offering in-depth sessions on specialized topics, held just before the main conference begins.
- Plenary and Invited Talks delivering insights from leading experts and pioneers in the field.
- A Global Audience, with participants representing over 30 countries, fostering diverse perspectives and international collaboration.
- Networking Opportunities through dedicated events designed to encourage collaboration and meaningful knowledge exchange.
- An Industrial Exhibition showcasing the latest innovations and creating valuable connections between academia and industry.
- An Early-Career Researcher Program supporting the next generation of scientists with tailored sessions, mentoring opportunities, and professional development resources.
Each year, EOSAM is hosted by a different leading hub of optics and photonics, highlighting the excellence in these innovative fields around Europe and delivering a unique experience to all attendees. Since its inception in 2006, EOSAM has been held in France, Scotland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and Portugal. Have a look at the 2025 EOSAM in Delft, or any of the previous EOSAM events, in preparation for joining us in 2026.
EOS is very excited to partner with Finland for the 2026 EOSAM event. See you in Tampere 24-28 August 2026!
