3rd edition of the Corbalán Prize in Quantum and Nonlinear Optics

Call for the 3rd edition of the Corbalán Prize in Quantum and Nonlinear Optics, organized by the SEDOPTICA Committee on Quantum and Nonlinear Optics, with sponsorship from LASING, OPTICA and Scixel.

The aim of the Awards is to promote and encourage outreach, teaching, and research in areas related to Quantum Optics and Nonlinear Optics, while honoring the legacy of Professor Ramón Corbalán. In particular, the awards seek to stimulate research activity and outreach efforts at the early stages of a research career, including during doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate studies. The awards are presented every two years.

The categories are:

(a) Prize for outreach and teaching, for articles published in Óptica Pura y Aplicada or Revista Española de Física, as well as in other scientific journals or quality media (upon application).

(b) Prize for the best PhD Thesis.

(c) Young Outreach Prize.
