"Coherence and Random Polarization 2024" Topical issue

The 3rd Joensuu Conference on Coherence and Random Polarization will be arranged on June 11-14, 2024, in Joensuu, Finland, with the broad theme “Current Paths and New Horizons”. The conference is a sequel to the similar conferences held in Joensuu in 2014 and 2018, but its roots date back to the meeting “Partial Electromagnetic Coherence and 3D Polarization” organized in summer 2009 at Koli near Joensuu, and to the ICO topical meeting “Polarization Optics” held in 2003 in Polvijärvi very close to Joensuu. The topics of the 3rd Joensuu Conference cover all aspects (fundamentals and applications, classical and quantum) of coherence and polarization of light in optical science and technology. The conference is organized by the University of Eastern Finland and supported by Photonics Finland (EOS branch member).

This Topical Issue provides a channel to publish an extended article in JEOS-RP on the results presented at the 3rd Joensuu Conference on Coherence and Random Polarization. Submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process, ensuring the highest standards of scientific quality and integrity expected from the journal JEOS-RP. Papers adding a significant value to the field will be published in this topical issue, providing an opportunity for your research to gain visibility and make a significant impact in the field.

Submission deadline for this Topical Issue is Dec 2, 2024. Papers can be submitted immediately or at any time until this date. Submitted articles will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and published online as they are accepted and added to this topical issue. The median time to “first on-line” with DOI is 70 days.
