How to get there
Joensuu can conveniently be reached by plane, train, or car from Helsinki.
Plane
There are several daily connections between the Helsinki-Vantaa airport (the main hub in Finland) and Joensuu. The flight time to Joensuu is around one hour. Please consult your travel agency for up-to-date information or check the Finnair website: https://www.finnair.com/
Train or car
The land connection between Helsinki and Joensuu takes around four or five hours. Please see http://www.vr.fi/en/ for timetables and for online tickets. Participants who arrive by plane to Helsinki, and who like to continue by train to Joensuu, may either go to Tikkurila train station or to Helsinki City train station (e.g. by Ring Rail Line train or taxi).
